What happens in Shanghai stays in Shanghai
Alright, folks, buckle up! I'm about to spill the beans on one wild ride with my main gals, Joan, Eve, Vee and co, in the heart of China - Shanghai!
So here's the scene: Joan and I were stuck in this tiny spot that SOME people might call a "city" in China. But honestly? It felt more like someone’s backyard. We were surrounded by science stuff - beakers, and (don’t get me started on) the smell. Day in and day out, it was like being trapped in a never-ending science class.
But then - TA-DA! The national holiday in China showed up like a superhero in disguise. And what did we do? We packed our bags, waved goodbye to the beakers, and hopped on a plane to the dazzling lights of Shanghai.
Enter our lifesaver, Eve. This girl? She's like the queen of connections. If there's a secret door in Shanghai, Eve’s got the key. Before we knew it, thanks to her magic touch, the girls and I weren’t just at the club – we were VIPs, baby! And let me tell you, going VIP in Shanghai is like entering a whole new universe.
The energy? Insane! We danced like nobody's business. And guess what? We found our tribe there, partying with the biggest group of black folks I'd seen since I landed in China. It was like a surprise family reunion right in the middle of the dance floor.
But we didn't just stick to the club's neon lights. Nope! We sunbathed on the beach, made complete fools of ourselves at KTV (turns out, I'm no Beyoncé), and... Oh! Here's the kicker: We all have that one friend who says, "It's not far, just around the corner," and bam! 18,000 steps later, we’re traipsing all over Shanghai. So funny that the five of us basically turned into the queens of WeChat run for the day. I’m still waiting for my legs to forgive me for that one!
If I had a dime for every crazy memory in China, I’d have... well, quite a few dimes. But this Shanghai trip? Priceless. It's the one story I'd tell over and over, especially when I want a good laugh. Honestly, if there's one thing I NEVER want to forget from my China days, it's this wild October adventure.
To wrap it up, Joan, Vee, Eve, and I? We didn't just take a trip. We went on a bonkers, laugh-till-you-cry, dance-like-no-one's-watching adventure. And man, what a ride it was! 🥂
With Love
